The OHF lends a helping hand to disadvantaged students

During the summer, 14 young people from children's homes had the opportunity to attend the summer language school of English.

Two-week courses took place in England and Malta; the students came back enthusiastic and enriched with new language skills and experience from abroad. The courses were held within the framework of the Summer Language School project.

In August and September, interviews with applicants for the scholarship took place and 24 new students were admitted into the OHF grant programmes Education Fund and Nikola Tesla Scholarship. Overall, the Foundation supports more than 130 high school and university students with health disability or social disadvantage.

„We wish that the right for dignified life is also enjoyed by those who live with handicap or mental illness, abandoned and old people, those who have a different skin colour or a different way of life, those in poverty or attacked by a malignant disease.“ Olga Havel
