Photo: Mrs. Lenka Hegrová, the Laureate of Olga Havel Award, and Mr. Přemysl Sobotka, the chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic The 2006 Olga Havel Award was presented on 15 May 2006 under the auspices of the chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Přemysl Sobotka in the Great Hall of Wallenstein Palace to Lenka Hegrová who, as part of Brno’s League for the Rights of Wheelchair Users, has built a project for the provision of personal assistance for disable people who are not able to take care of themselves on their own. The Olga Havel Award – Olbram Zoubek’s bronze statue Encouragement – was presented by Dana Němcová in the presence of the former president of the Czech Republic Václav Havel and board members Ivan Douda bishop Václav Malý and Ljuba Václavová. Chairman of the Senate Přemysl Sobotka presented Lenka Hegrová with a memorial medal. The ceremony featured a performance by the Svěcený Trio of the Prague Conservatory and the Bambini di Praga choir with conductor Blanka Kulínská, accompanied by pianist Ludmila Čermáková. The event was hosted by Marie Retková.
